This enamel pin says "Jak się nie ma, co się lubi, to się lubi, co się ma" in Polish which translates as "if you don’t have what you like, like what you have" in English which is a lot to say on a single hard enamel pin, but a very powerful reminder to take back control and to get on with things... which as a stoic, really struck a cord with me.

The Polish language is rich with beautiful sayings and proverbs and I had lots of fun illustrating them with folkart style symbols in colours traditionally from the region.
