Gifts for Your Sister-in-Law

Gifts for Your Sister-in-Law

I'll not get into the politics of in-laws. I think they can come in all shapes and sizes and some of us are luckier than others.  And, let's face it, with the divorce rate as it is, they may be around for less time than we'd like or we could be blessedly rid of them at just the right moment... and I'm now thinking what an absolute ridiculous way to start a gift guide 🤣

So, for the purposes of this guide, I'm going to assume that you are blessed with one or two kind humans in sisters-in-law forms and I have some wonderful gifts to suit all budgets for them (lucky that 😬).  I also think everything below works for actual sisters too. All varieties really - biological, adopted, office, soul..

Just for the record, the best product I've ever conceived is at the bottom of this email and is the best sister (in law) gift if you have the budget (add a box of celebrations you'll not have to buy anything for your brother as it can be for the whole family).

But firstly, little gifts that mean a lot - first section is for "nice" sister in law relationships.

If they're a bit of a bookworm, we have some beautiful bookmarks, The Word Apothecary range is aimed to harness the power of words from around the world and I love this one in particular, not just for my Slavic design but I just think it's a lovely positive message.  You can add the matching pin or keychain/bag charm if you feel a bookmark doesn't quite hit the mark.

There's always room for a pin or a keychain or bagcharm on any gifting occasion (thankfully!) and we have so many to choose from.  You can go classy with one or two of our initial pins.  If you opt for the extra secure backings you can use them to monogram soft luggage or a tote. There are so many applications for a bit of monogramming and as we also do a few symbols and all the numbers, the opportunities are endless...

Or if you have children who'd like to send their favourite aunt something fun, we have the "Weirdest Aunt" pin (but we have so many in the range that they're worth a look for other titles including 'Amazing Sister', 'Best Bitch' and 'Soul Sister'... too many to name here!)  And talking of pins and keychains, there are so many, you should just have a quick scroll through to check...  Go on, do it now, I'll wait...

If you've now filled your carts with pins and keychains and are still looking for your sister (in-law) who you think is amazing, the porcelain mugs are worth a look, are just so fabulous to drink from, are extra large for the morning brew and will make her smile every time she drinks from it.

And if you need the same sentiment but a little more child friendly, there's always this limited edition sturdy canvas totes that I created to be a little less obviously sweary but no less impactful - I catch sight of myself in a shop window as I'm walking down the high street, see this the right way around and positively strut my stuff to Marks & Sparks 🤣

And now, less kind, and more kindred spirit sister in law... if you have a shared sense of humour and that sense of humour is a little juvenile then our Mindlessness Books are just plain silly.  Not for taking too seriously and definitely funnier after a glass of wine at the Christmas dinner table (I don't drink and I wrote them so not obligatory but I'm just warning you that they're really silly but very funny).  Four books to choose from, all written in a similar vein with Cosmo style questionnaires "Are you Annoying - Take the Test to Find Out!" sorta thing, colouring, crosswords, puzzles, fill the blanks stories... hours of fun!

And if your sister in law, like you, takes most of the responsibility for the smooth running of the day and it gets to about mid-afternoon and feels this sentiment... then grab her anything from the range. She'll love you for the solidarity!  NB. The chocolate is delicious!!

Talking of a bit of solidarity, there are also these little but ever so powerful pocket notebooks... we've grouped together six of them but they can be bought separately.

And finally, and by far the best thing we've ever made.  This is seriously awesome. Check out the reviews and just take my word for it... it's so simple and easy to use - no chore but effortless memory keeping.  Mine has both my parents within it's well worn leaves and also has the year that one of my (then) 8 year olds said that his year had been 'excellent' and therefore marks it a 6/10.  I'm still waiting to see what the actual fuck I can do to raise that score... he's still waiting 🤣
